EOC Week 3 Great Customer Experiences

Greatest Customer Experience…
My greatest customer experience was at a local sushi restaurant “Social House” which was located in the TI and is currently moving to City Center. I still think about the level of service and quality of food and am a frequent topic of food conversations. My expectations were high, but that usually means you will be disappointed by in some way. This was not to happen this night. We had reservations and the hostess called ahead to the Executive Chef Joseph Elevado and the Restaurant Manager before going upstairs to be seated. The table had an awesome view of the Las Vegas Strip and was very generous in size. Upon seating the Chef Joseph and the manager greeted us and welcomed us. Chef gave his suggestions for the dinner and we decided on a personal menu selection for various items both on the menu and off the menu. As the food came out it was absolutely beautiful in presentation and the taste was equally amazing. We received this service as the Pure Marketing group Vice President of Food and Beverage was a friend and asked us to try out the restaurant and let her know what I thought. The experience was great and I look forward to the reopening of Social House City Center in five months.

EOC week 2 My Demographic

My Demographic…
I am a generation X-people born between 1965 and 1978 which consist of 40 million consumers. We are the first generation of latchkey children and products of dual-career households. We have been surrounded by multimedia and are characterized by being savvy and cynical consumers. I believe this is correct for me, I look for value which means an item may cost money, but what you get with the product, such as high quality and a lot of features are important. It could also be something inexpensive, but has a good design that satisfies the need. I am cynical not believing that a particular product is the best without having to research it first. Time is at an extreme value to me so I would spend the extra money to have someone wash and clean the interior of my vehicles rather than do it myself and waste water.

EOC Week 2 My Favorite Fast Food Growing Up

My favorite fast food when growing up…

In the early 70’s, it was always the convenient, neighborhood McDonald’s that we ended up for lunch after school. It was my grandfather’s favorite place to eat and he liked to take me there after school because it was on the way home. Dinner always seemed to be mom’s home cooked meals that we all met at the dinner table, usually at five pm when did came home from work. On some evenings, my grandfather would take me for a real treat to have chocolate shakes. We lived only a few blocks away from a McDonald’s and again it was convenient. Big Mac, fries and apple pies were my favorite menu items that I would order for lunch. Later, in the early 80’s I eventually made a restaurant management career for about ten years working for McDonald’s.

EOC Week 1 My Voice

As a web designer with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art, my website design tends to follow a clean, simple, yet functional and organized design. My focus this year will be to build a strong portfolio of web and graphic design to be on everyone’s “list” to important events in Las Vegas, and network to meet a diverse group of professionals. Design has always fascinated me especially web based media. The possibilities of design online should incorporate the best of print media, video and photo journalism with the ability to do ecommerce and blogging if necessary on your site. Style is important so that your design has your own personal signature and does not look like a template that other people have used over and over again. My current skills are being used for a major local book publisher in both internet and print use. A new passion of mine is networking. It is leading me to an unlimited number of open doors and opportunities that other people will never experience because they choose to stay home and watch TV. I have learned by exchanging business cards when networking, you compound your results by ending up in new social networks online, thus multiplying the amount of contacts by one simple handshake.
